State of the Organization

You're invited to our State of the Organization talk on Tuesday, Dec. 3, from noon to 1 p.m. on Zoom. Join us to hear about our updates and accomplishments. Registration is required for this event.

Homeword Featured in Novogradac Journal of Tax Credits

We're honored that Novogradac Journal of Tax Credits featured our Crowley Flats property in the September edition of their magazine—The Historic Tax Credit Issue!

"A property in the central Montana city of Lewistown with history connecting back to one of its earliest settlers completed a renovation that turned the three-story site in its central business historic district into 16 affordable rental apartments and a medical clinic."

More than 2,000 Montanans live in our rental homes, including veterans, local workers, people with disabilities, 555 seniors and 834 children. Our financial skill building and homebuyer programs empower over 1,000 people a year.

Homeword Wins 2024 State Employer of Choice Award

You may have seen our news about winning the 2024 Missoula Job Service Employers' Council (JSEC) Employer of Choice Award last spring, but we have even bigger news!

Missoula JSEC just informed us that they had nominated us for the statewide award this year, too—and we won! The Montana State Employers Council Employers of Choice Award is announced annually by the Montana Department of Labor and Industry. This prestigious award recognizes employers that show exceptional commitment to attracting and retaining workers, thereby fostering a robust workplace culture.

Representatives from Missoula JSEC came to our staff meeting this week to present us with a plaque and prize. Project Manager Julie, who has been with Homeword for 16 years, accepted the award on behalf of our organization.

Meet Our Administrative Specialist

We're so happy to welcome Jeanie Robb to our team! As our administrative specialist, she supports all departments, serving as our first point of contact with the public and assisting with office operations.

Using her background in counseling and other helping roles over the years, Jeanie assists Montanans and connects them with resources to realize their home-related and financial goals.
